Peacock has released the first look at its upcoming spy thriller series, Ponies, starring Haley Lu Richardson and Emilia Clarke. The eight-part espionage drama is set to premiere on January 15, 2026. Richardson, known for her role in The White Lotus (2021), and Clarke, famous for her portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones (2011-2019), will play the lead roles.
The show is co-created by Susanna Fogel, director of Utopia (2020) and The Flight Attendant (2020), and David Iserson, a writer for Mr. Robot (2015-2019) and Mad Men (2007-2015). Fogel will serve as the show's director and writer, while Iserson will take up the showrunner duties. According to a report from Soap Central, Peacock has released a featurette and three first-look photos for the series, which introduce Clarke, Richardson, and supporting cast member Adrian Lester in their respective characters in 1977 Moscow [1]. The cast of Ponies also includes Artjom Gilz as Andrei, Vic Michaelis as Cheryl, Nicholas Podany as Ray, and Petro Ninovskyi as Sasha.
