Madewell And Reluxe Fashion Partner On Sustainable High-End Vintage Capsule Collection

Madewell has collaborated with luxury resale platform Reluxe Fashion to create a capsule collection of high-end, hard-to-find pieces that will be available in-store and online. The partnership aims to promote circularity in the fashion industry by making pre-loved, high-quality items more accessible to consumers.

The collection, which will be rolled out in phases, features 550 pieces of vintage clothing and accessories, carefully curated by Reluxe Fashion founder and stylist Clare Richardson. Richardson emphasizes the importance of sustainability, stating that the brand's approach is to "make it easier for women to shop pre-loved vintage" and avoid the need to trawl through online marketplaces or stores for hours.

The first drop of the collection includes 30 pieces, featuring items such as a tasseled suede jacket, "pleated skirt.".. and various belts. A standout piece is a pair of Chloé high-waisted braided jeans, "which Richardson has been searching for years after selling her own pair." The collaboration is now available to shop... with consumers able to visit Madewell.

What pairs well with denim? Vintage Saint Laurent—or Celine, by way of Phoebe Philo. Now for a limited time, you can shop your Madewell jeans at the same time as a vintage Celine blouse. Building on its commitment of circularity, Madewell has partnered with luxury resale platform Reluxe Fashion for a capsule collection of coveted, hard-to-find pieces that will be available to shop in-store and online.
For Reluxe Fashion founder and stylist Clare Richardson, the partnership is a testament to the brand's decision to forgo trends in favor of a more sustainable approach to fashion. “We have a saying: ‘No season is old season.' So if it's five years old, or if it's 10 years old, if the piece is good, it should last and sit in your wardrobe.”
