Housewives Attend Charity Gala Supporting Homeless Youth And Human Trafficking

Dorinda Medley and Luann de Lesseps, both former cast members of The Real Housewives of New York City, recently attended the Night of Covenant House Stars on May 20. The charity event, presented by Ulta Beauty, supports homeless youth and human trafficking survivors through the organization Covenant House. The gala took place at the Javits Center in New York City and featured appearances by several notable celebrities, including Stephen Colbert, Rachel Brosnahan, Adrienne Warren, Shoshana Bean, and Quincy Isaiah.

Medley, 59, turned heads with herEye-catching outfit, which included an oversized black blazer worn as a dress. The blazer featured two large pearl buttons and tassels hanging from top to bottom... adding a touch of glamour to her overall look. She paired her bold choice with a sparkly clutch purse and black strappy buckle heels.

Medley completed her look with a chic side-part hairstyle and heavy black eyeliner, long lashes, and glossy lips. De Lesseps, also 59, opted for a more classic ensemble consisting of a fitted black blazer with tiny cut-outs on the front. She paired this with tailored black trousers, a black leather clutch, and silver strappy heels.

The reality star emphasized her eyes with smokey eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, and long lashes. The Night of Covenant House Stars is an annual gala that honors individuals and organizations working to support the cause. This year's event recognized CBS news anchor John Dickerson... a Covenant House International Board member, who received the 2024 Board Service award.

The evening also featured a performance by Detroit-born musician BLKBOK. Although neither Medley nor De Lesseps are currently part of The Real Housewives of New York City cast, they have both remained busy since leaving the show. Medley has published her memoir, Make It Nice, and appeared in season 2 of Ultimate Girls Trip.

She was a cast member from seasons 7 through 12 and announced her departure in 2020. The charity event showed that even celebrities can use their platforms to make a positive impact. Medley and De Lesseps, "by attending the gala and supporting Covenant House," "demonstrated their commitment to giving back to their community."
