Hallmark's new three-movie special event series, Providence Falls, is an epic time-traveling romance that premieres on August 1. Based on Jude Deveraux and Tara Sheets' best-selling trilogy, the series follows Cora, played by Katie Stevens, in two different periods: 1844 Ireland and present-day Providence Falls. In 1844, Cora falls in love with Liam, played by Lachlan Quarmby, but their romance disrupts her destiny.
As a result, Liam is sent to the present day to help Cora's reincarnated version end up with Finn, played by Evan Roderick, allowing her to fulfill her true destiny. According to an interview with TV Insider, Stevens described the series as having "Outlander vibes with angels and reincarnation" and teased that it's "steamy, but we keep our pants on." Stevens enjoyed playing two versions of Cora... ensuring they had a "throughline of who they are" despite being different.
Both Coras "deeply care about people" and believe in personal growth. In the present day, "Cora has no memory of her past relationship with Liam.".. while he still remembers everything.
